NPA Sales, Shipping and Refund Policy

Please review these policies carefully as they are the terms of sale that govern your purchases at the Northwestern Publishing Association (NPA). They set out your rights and obligations with respect to your purchases, including important limitations and exclusions. Your placement of an order at the NPA Internet Store constitutes your agreement that these policies apply to the order, so be certain you understand them before you place your order.

Hours of Operation

Canvassers and Resellers Only

The NPA sells products to canvassers and resellers with an extra discount. The discount amount may differ for each buyer and is established on a personal agreement. In order to get a special discount, all canvassers and resellers must contact us first to obtain a personal discount-code.

Downloadable Products

Some of the products we sell may be available for download, after it’s purchase, such as: PowerPoint templates, software, etc., Once NPA receives your payment (see Payment Methods), we will email you a link so you can begin downloading. Once you complete your download, the link well be abrogated for security purposes.

If the transmission is interrupted during download or you lose you downloads in any way, you can contact us to request a new active link.

Proof of Purchase

NPA will send you a confirmation of your order via email. You will also receive a printed receipt (invoice if payed by check) by regular mail when your order is shipped.

Payment Methods

NPA allows you to make your purchases using any of the payment methods described below. You can combine more than one payment method for a single purchase. Please read carefully our policies with respect to payment methods before you place your order.

Credit or Debit Cards

The NPA accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa credit or debit cards. Whether you order online or phone, you may pay by Credit, or Debit Card. When you provide NPA with your card information, NPA will obtain a pre-approval from the card company for the amount of the order. NPA will not bill your credit or debit card until your order ships.

Debit cards may have daily spending limits that may substantially delay the processing of your order.

The NPA Store requires the credit or debit card security code for your card for any telephone or online purchase to protect against the unauthorized use of your credit card by other persons. The security code is an individual three- or four-digit number specific to your card that may be printed on the face of your card above the embossed account number (if American Express), or on the back of your card, on the signature panel (if Visa, MasterCard or Discover).

Combining cards

No matter how you place your order, you may use more than one credit or debit cards to pay for anything NPA sells. Please note: this option is available only if you place your order by phone.

Checks or Money Order

NPA accepts checks and money orders as valid forms of payment. Please note: if you choose to pay NPA with check or money order, we will not ship your order until we receive your payment.

Please make your check payable to Northwestern Publishing Assn.

NPA must receive your payment within 10 calendar days or your order will be canceled. Please allow one business day for order processing after NPA receives your payment.

Sales Tax

In addition to the price of your purchases, NPA will charge you sales tax based on your shipping address and the sales tax rate in effect at the time your order is billed. If you place your order by phone, the NPA sales person will provide you an estimated dollar total of your order including tax and shipping charges at the time you place your order.


NPA offers three convenient shipping options.

• Domestic Standard Shipping: Our standard way of shipping is Media Mail. Products shipped via Media Mail are normally delivered within 5-10 business days after shipment.

• Domestic UPS Shipping: NPA offers this expedited shipping option via UPS for most products. Products shipped via UPS are normally delivered by 4:30 p.m. local time two business days after shipment. This option is available only for the products which are in stock. If by chance any of the ordered products will not be available at the moment, we will contact you to discuss any changes.

• International Shipping: All of our International shipments we do via Priority Mail. The delivery day may differ for different countries.

Remember that these estimates are for time in transit only, and that they do not apply until the product leaves NPA’s facilities. The estimated shipment date on your order is based on product availability, payment processing time, and warehouse processing time. Once your order leaves NPA’s facilities, NPA cannot assume liability for late deliveries, regardless of the delivery method you specify.

Undeliverable Packages: Most of NPA’s carriers make three attempts to deliver a package. After three delivery attempts, the carrier will return the package to NPA. In this case we will contact you to make arrangements for reshipment. Please note: in case of reshipment of undelivered package, NPA will charge an additional shipping cost.


NPA offers you very competitive prices on all of what we sell. Your total order price will include the price of the product on the day of shipping plus any applicable sales tax, shipping and handling charges. NPA reserves the right to change prices for products displayed at the NPA Online Store at any time and particularly to correct pricing errors that may appear.

Product Availability

NPA makes every effort to ship your product as soon as possible to your satisfaction. But there may be occasions when NPA confirms orders but learns that it cannot supply the ordered products, either at all or in the quantities ordered. These occasions can include when the products no longer are being manufactured, they become unavailable to NPA, or when there was a pricing error when you ordered. In those circumstances, NPA will contact you to inform you and, if you are interested, NPA may suggest alternative products that might meet your needs. If you do not wish to order alternative products, NPA will cancel your order for products NPA cannot supply and for any other products that you no longer wish to order as a result, and will refund your purchase price for those products.

Product Warranty

NPA does not provide any warranty on any products we sell. If the product you have ordered is defected, please see our exchange policy. All of out products basically sold 'AS IS'.

NPA Media Products Licenses

Your use of NPA-branded media products (software, PowerPoint templates, audio and video materials etc.) is on the terms of the license in effect at the time of purchase.

You will be asked to agree to the terms of the applicable license at the time that you install the software or a license that you can agree with through your act of breaking the media packaging seal or sticker.

Return, Exchange and Refund Policy

Please read carefully! All purchases made form NPA are NOT refundable. NPA does not accept returns or exchanges by any reason on all printed materials and media products. All other products such as gifts, office supplies etc. may be exchanged within 30-days from date of purchase. The product to be exchanged may be exchanged for any other product sold by NPA. To do an exchange, you must notify NPA within 30 days of your original purchase date, that you desire to exchange the purchased product. The “Exchange Claim Form” will be provided to you and you must return it to NPA by regular mail only (no e-mail), within 10 days from the day of your notice, in order to obtain the exchange.

In order to obtain an exchange, you must provide your correct e-mail address and/or mailing address to NPA. The customer is responsible for providing a correct/working contact and shipping information.

Defective Items

If you discover what you believe is a product defect for any NPA sold product, please contact us and request a “Defect Product Exchange Form”. After you receive a form you must return it together with a defected product to NPA, within 10 days from your notice day, in order to obtain exchange.

Other Terms and Conditions

• NPA is not responsible for typographical errors. NPA reserves the right to cancel any order you have placed if there was a typographical error concerning the pricing or availability of any item you ordered when you placed the order.

• NPA reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of sale at any time.

• NPA reserves the right to change quantities available for purchase at any time.

• The information provided at the NPA with respect to products and services may be out of date, and NPA makes no commitment to update the information with respect to such products and services.

• NPA reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate operation of or access to the NPA at any time, without notice.

• To the extent permitted by law, all sales at the NPA are governed by California law, without giving effect to its conflict of law provisions.

By purchasing at the NPA Store, whether you place your order online or by telephone, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review all NPA’s policies have done so to the degree you need to be familiar with them, and you accept their terms and conditions.
